HTC Explorer is a great budget android phone. Equipped with a lot of candy features, not to mention the Sense 3.5 UI. If you want to select your first android touch phone and budget tight then,need not consider any other but the explorer itself. Superb first android phone.It is powered by a 600MHz processor ,Adreno 200 GPU, 3.2MP camera (no flash) and many more. So this cute little phone has a little bad side-a low 90MB linternal memory. it has some pre-installed apps that cannot be removed. How to remove them?

Rooting:

Follow these steps carefully---

• First thing you have to do is install HTC sync on your PC 

It can be downloaded from HTC site. This will help to communicate between PC and Device

• Next you have to unlock your phone's bootloader 

 ( Go to htcdev.com. From Bootloader section select your device. But HTC explorer isnt listed on the site. No need to worry. Just select "All Supported Models", and follow the steps.)

• Now 'ADD A RECOVERY' - 

That will allow you to install .zip ROMs. You can access to it in the menu android phones have when booting the phone after removing-inserting the battery and pressing "volume down" and "power" buttons simultaneously. (Other phones have different button combinations).

1.  Download  this recovery file - HTCa310eRecovery.zip

2.  Extract all the files to any place on your PC like E:/explorer

3.  Run the recovery.bat with phone in fastboot mode (first option in the "3 android menu" ) and connected with USB.

If you have done all this correctly then you have successfully installed the recovery files.You can now install any compatible .zip ROM or app.

• Lets Root It

 1. Download this file- Superuser

 2. Next place this file in your micro-SD card- any location (doesn't matter)

 3. Go into Recovery Mode -  ( " Volume Down"+"Power" )

 4. install Superuser zip file with the option "install .zip from SD" from the recovery menu.

There you go- Your HTC Explorer Is rooted and is all yours....

Recommended: Install "Link2sd" for moving your apps to SD card. This will help you to move apps to partitioned SD card

Let's Get Started: 

• Download the CF-Auto-Root zip. Extract the contents of the zip to a single folder that should be placed on your desktop screen.

• Download Odin 3.07 from . Extract the Odin zip contents to the same folder created at step 1.

• Power off your smartphone now and then boot it into Download Mode. This can be done by pressing ‘volume down’, ‘home’ and ‘power’ buttons simultaneously. Confirm that you want to boot the Download Mode.

• Go to the Odin folder and launch the executable. Odin will now boot and you then have to connect your Galaxy S3 to your computer.

• Odin will say ‘added!!’ and you can click on the PDA button. Find the ‘CF-Auto-Root .tar.md5′ file and load it into Odin.

• Don’t change any default settings of Odin and when you’re ready you should click the Start button.

• Wait until the root is complete and that will happen when your SGS3 will reboot.

• Odin will say ‘PASS’ and when the phone shows the boot animation logo you can unplug it from PC.

• These are all the steps that you had to take and now you should use the Root Checker app from Google Play Store. Use this app to confirm that the root files have been pushed to your phone.

Step1

• Download and setup ADB drivers for your device 

Step2

• Download the recovery-Recovery
• Download odin 3
• Turn of your device and go to odin mode [ Vol down + power + home button (all at the same time) ] release it when you see GT-i9082 logo
• Press vol up to confirm 

 Step 3

•  Now that you are in odin mode connect your device via usb cable ! 
• Now open Odin3 3.04 that you have downloaded !
• If there is a pop-up like Installing ADB drivers let it get finished it is usually updates   

 

•  Make sure the COM : xx (xx is usb port number it can be any number so dont worry about it,just verify COM is lit up)
• Extract the CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.zip ! Now select PDA and browse to where you have extracteded CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 and select it

• Click Start

Now you have successfully created a CWM touch Recovery 

Note: 

 "If any one is getting md5 hash value failed while flashing rename "CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 to ""CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar" (remove the .md5) and then flash it !"

How To Root:

• Download SuperSu 
• Copy that to externel sdcard (NOT INTERNAL ! )
• Power off your device and press vol up + power + home button (all at once)
• Select install zip from sdcard --->choose zip from sdcard ---> scroll down and select UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.05.zip  

Done ! And you are ready to go 

How To Unroot:

 

Download The Uninstaller File given above.

If you want to unroot keeping CWM alive then flash only the Uninstall_root_SGG.zip (like you flashed SuperSu.zip earlier)

Whenever Apple releases a new iOS firmware version, a fake jailbreak tool sprouts up on some corner of the internet. And this time iOS 6.1.3 has been the 'victim' of a so-called silv3rwind tool that claims to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 firmware. The evad3rs dev team has also tweeted that this tool is fake and all users should stay away from it because it could be a potential virus that might infect your computer.

How this scam works 

I was successfully abe to reverse-engineer the entire scam just to make sure you know how it functions. 

• The creator of this fake software either programs the tool himself in a windows-based programming language like Visual Studio or outsources the coding part. 

• The scammer then packages the executable .exe file in a zip file and makes it password protected. 

• Now, he makes another text file in the which gives the instructions to the user to complete a survey to get the password for the software.
• User complete the survey and scammer earns money.

Stay away from such scams and fake tools. I am watching a lot of gullible people asking us the password of silv3rwind's zip file. iOS 6.1.3 firmware can't be jailbroken at the moment successfully but you can downgrade iOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 and then use evasi0n.
